Warm Ups is an initiative by AIGA NY to provide undergraduate design students at area schools a platform to introduce their work to the community, and give our audiences an opportunity to see the best and brightest, and learn about what’s happening at the area design programs. In previous years, the most promising and engaging juniors and seniors from SVA, FIT, Parsons, Pratt, St. John’s, BMCC, CCNY, and Queens College have presented their projects alongside industry leaders in front of our audience of design professionals, educators and students.
Warm-Ups participants give 5-minute presentations about one project before the main presenter of the evening takes the stage. New for 2024–25: We are now allowing students to directly nominate themselves for the chance to participate in Warm-Ups this year!
Apply or nominate a student now!
To be eligible to present, students must:
— Be a junior or senior currently enrolled in an undergraduate design program.
— Be able to travel to present live in NYC.
— Have a web portfolio link to their current work.
Please note that while we make our best efforts to showcase as many students as possible, not all nominated students will be invited to present, and will be matched by the Board on the basis of their work with our slate of upcoming programming.
